Soldiers Engage In Gunfight With Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno
Nigerian soldiers are engaged in a gun-fight with Boko Haram terrorists in Mainok village, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno state.
According to Premium Times, this was confirmed by a security official on Wednesday, December 13.
The security official said the attackers came through the bush areas that link Mainok with Buniyadi village of Yobe State.
He said: “Yes the attack is on as I speak with you now but our military troops are gallantly tackling them as we have heard so far,” said the source who would rather not mention his name for security reasons.
“The insurgents came through the Buniyadi axis that connects to Kaga local government à nd Sambisa forest.”
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Nwachukwu, a colonel, said the troops killed the three insurgents when a group of terrorists attempted to attack Gajibo community on Thursday.
He further revealed that the terrorists, who launched the attack on the village in a Military Personnel Carrier and gun trucks, were repelled by the troops.
