'I Joined Cult, So That I Can Get Automatic Job After Graduation'- Arrested Aye Confraternity Member

A suspected member of a cult group, Chinedu Emenike, has confessed that he joined a cult while in the higher institution in order to secure employment after graduation. Emenike made this confession when he was paraded by the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr Anthony Ogbizi.

The suspect who was arrested by the internal security of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike claimed to have dropped out of the Rivers State Polytechnic for lack of sponsorship, said he maintained his membership of the Aye Confraternity, which he joined on campus, so as to help him to secure a job or get contract through other members of the cult.
He said,
“I am a member of the Aye Confraternity and a former student of the Rivers State Polytechnic. I joined the cult group so that our men can help me with job upon graduation. But I did not graduate because of money. My parents did not have enough money to sponsor me through school, that was why I dropped out.
“I have learnt tiling. I went to MOUAU to see if I could meet any of our members that could just help me out because I came to Umuahia not long ago. I needed job, business connection or any other thing that can sustain me.”
However, the state Commissioner of Police said the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution, having made some confessions.
