Amir Khan Wants A Fight With Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao But They Are Avoiding Him

Amir Khan has reiterated his belief that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are avoiding a fight with him.

The Brit has tried and failed to secure bouts with both men when they were at the peaks of their careers.

And he looks set to miss out again after Pacquiao confirmed he will fight Adrien Broner in January before taking on Mayweather later in the year.

Khan has repeatedly set he would rather face Pacquiao or Mayweather than domestic rival Kell Brook - but will likely have to settle for a showdown with the Sheffield star.

"Pacquiao and Mayweather are the names I want to fight,” he told World Boxing News .

"They are both the names I’ve been chasing. I’ve been very close to making the Pacquiao fight happen years ago but I don't want to wait around.

"At the end of the day, I’m ready for Mayweather or Pacquiao now!

"Maybe we can make it happen early next year but I just don’t think they want to fight me.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are just teasing the fans that they are going to be fighting each other.

"But look, I’m not teasing anyone. I want to take that fight and I honestly think I would beat them.

"In Pacquiao’s case, I have a 100 per cent record against southpaws. I box really well against southpaws. I think my speed will be too much for Pacquiao and it would be like a game of chess.

"With Mayweather, it would be another game of chess due to in and out movement."

Pacquiao has revealed he will fight Broner on January 12 or 19 and would like to face Mayweather on May 5 or in July.

The Filipino also claimed Mayweather will come out of retirement and fight on December 31.

That fight could take place in Tokyo as the 41-year-old looks to build his brand in Asia.
