Franck Ribery Slaps TV Journalist After Bayern Munich Lost To Borussia Dortmund
Bayern Munich have confirmed that winger Franck Ribery was involved in an “altercation” with a French journalist after Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to rivals Borussia Dortmund .
Eyewitness reports claimed that Ribery pushed and slapped French TV journalist Patrick Guillou during a post-match interview after the reporter suggested that the 35-year-old was responsible for two of the goals Dortmund scored during the game .
Bayern said the matter will be dealt with internally .
Speaking to Bild, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: “Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his compatriot Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years .
“We agreed with Patrick Guillou that we would speak at a personal meeting, we will talk about how we can solve the matter, and Mr Guillou has already signalled that it is in his interest.”
Ribery is yet to register a goal or an assist in 14 appearances for Bayern this season across all competitions.
