Jussie Smollett Reportedly Paid Two Nigerian Brothers To Orchestrate His Attack
CNN is reporting that new evidence suggests that Empire actor Jussie Smollett paid the two Nigerian brothers to orchestrate his attack.
According to the media house, this was confirmed by two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation who told CNN that “Chicago Police believe actor Jussie Smollet paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month.”
Recall that the brothers were arrested Wednesday but released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of “new evidence.” And now, sources told CNN the two men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement.
The sources added that there are records that show that the two brothers purchased the rope found around Smollett’s neck at a hardware store in Chicago, and that there are other evidences which the police are currently working with.
And this has stirred heated reactions on social media. At the moment, Smollett has deactivated his Instagram comment section and had yet to respond to the update as at press time.
