Los Angeles Rival Gang Leaders Unite To Mourn Nipsey Hussle
Complex is reporting that a Los Angeles promoter and businessowner Marquis Diamond has confirmed that there was a unity meeting between numerous Los Angeles gang leaders who were inspired by Nipsey Hussle ‘s leadership in the community and who now wish to honour his memory.
In his Instagram post, Diamond said, “@NipseyHussle Look what you started 60’s ,HOOVAS, ETG’s, FTG, VNG, BOUNTY HUNTERS, MONA PARKS, BRIMS, PIRUS, BLOODS, CRIPS, GANGSTAS, NH’s, DEUCES. Just some of these hoods in the same building is POWERFUL! Trying to use Their BLACK POWER TO BRING UNITY TO THE CITY! I pray that we can stay on this positive path.”
Hussle’s death rocked the entire community. He was a member of the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips Los Angeles gang, an identity he often referenced to urge others to find alternative paths to streetgangs. And before his death, he reportedly scheduled to meet with the LAPD to discuss gang violence, but hours after he was fatally shot.
Now, the entire hip-hop and black communities are mourning him, and also gang leaders have met to have peace talks, in his honour.
