Police Officers Apprehend Man Who Supplies Fuel To Armed Bandits
The Police operatives in Katsina State attached to Batsari Local Government has succeeded in the arrest of one Alhaji Sale from Wagini Village with twenty-eight (28) jerricans loaded with petroleum product inside a Toyota Carina II Saloon, green in colour, with registration number AW 382 RBC, trying to cross into Rugu forest with intent to sell it to bandits in the forest.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the Commissioner of Police in Katsina, CP Sanusi Buba and made available to newsmen including Katsina Post.
According to the statement, during an investigation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offense implicating the manager of G-Hayat Filling Station, Bakiyawa village, Batagarawa LGA of Katsina state, one Umar Isah, ‘m’, aged 33yrs of Kofar-Guga, Katsina as his cohort.
Recall that the Katsina State Government had earlier banned the buying and selling of petrol in jerrycans in the eight (8) frontline local governments affected by the armed bandits.
Also, not long ago, the police operatives in the state arrested four suspected persons supplying fuel to the bandits and were paraded to newsmen.
