Police Arrest Ogun Teenager For Killing Friend Over Umbrella, N200
The Ogun State Police has arrested an Ogun teenager who killed his friend over an umbrella and N200 he was reportedly given by the deceased.The 19-year-old apprentice welder in the Agbado area of the state, Kehinde Adeoye reportedly killed his friend, Lukman Olawunmi, aged 17, days after he brought the umbrella to him for repairs and also gave him N200 for it.
Adeoye who reportedly promised to fix the umbrella the next day failed to, and the owner kept disturbing Olawunmi. Upon being accosted by the deceased who asked him to return the umbrella and money, Adeoye got enraged and allegedly hit Olawunmi with a voodoo ring.
The Ogun teenager who killed his friend over an umbrella and N200 was arrested by a police team from the Agbado Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Sunday Omonijo, shortly after Olawunmi was confirmed dead on arrival at a private hospital. However the suspect who denied beating his friend with a voodoo ring, claimed that Olawunmi was first to slap him. Adeoye claimed he retaliated and Olawunmi slumped thereafter.
