Popular transgender woman, Nare Prince Mphela murdered in South Africa
In a recent post that surfaced on Facebook, a South African transgender woman was massacred by transphobic persons on Tuesday, January 7.
According to reports, the popular transgender lady identified as Nare Prince Mphela was brutally murdered by anonymous transphobic persons in Limpopo, South African. Equally important, LGBTI group, Capricorn Ignited LGBTI, confirmed Mphela’s death on Tuesday; stating that her body was found locked in a shack with multiple stab wounds.

“Limpopo is mourning after the brutal murder of one of our own. A well known Transgender Woman from Ga- Matlala Prospect, Nare Prince Mphela was found locked in a shack on Sunday in the Mokopane area where she worked.
”It appears her body has been lying there for some days, with multiple wounds of stabbings. The case is under investigation as we await further details and no arrests were made yet. She will be buried on Saturday 10 January, Further details will be updated.
”It is a painful loss to the Limpopo LGBTIQ+ Community and Society as a whole. May her Soul Rest in Power.#,” it said.
Numerous members of the LGBTI community have reacted to the news on the social media platform.
Equally important, transgender people have a gender identity or gender expression that differs from their sex assigned at birth. Some transgender people who desire medical assistance to transition from one sex to another identify as transsexual.
Transgender persons are people who denote a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex.
