Ghanian singer, Shatta Wale reacts after Ghanaian president set 808 prisoners free amidst the Coronavirus pandemic
Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has reacted after President Akufo Addo has set free 808 prisoners in the country.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in consultation with the Council of State has granted Presidential pardon to 808 convicts as we fight deadly Coronavirus.
The President’s move is to decongest our prisons.
Before the Presidential pardon, Shatta Wale through his social media page noted that the President should consider freeing prisoners. Whether it’s a coincidence or not, his claim has been answered and he is grateful for that.
The musician has therefore taken to socials media to express his gratitude toward the President.
He wrote,’ I wrote this just last week and my God touched the president’s heart Red heart…He is not just a leader but a man of God as well. Thank you once again Mr president,”
