Covid-19: FG Taking A Dangerous Gamble Relaxing Lockdown – Shehu Sani

Former Kaduna State lawmaker, Shehu Sani has urged the President Muhammad Buhari to have a rethink of his decision to relax the lockdown order amid the growing spread of the deadly coronavirus in the country.

Recall that on Monday, Buhari in a nationwide broadcast announced the easing of the lockdown, starting from Monday May 4, 2020 across all states of the federation.

However, Sani, in his official twitter handle on Thursday, believed that the President has taken a big gamble to have relaxed the lockdown despite the country’s inability to conduct more covid-19 testing for Nigerians.

“The truth is that once the Lockdown is lifted on Monday, nobody will listen to ‘any grammar’ of conditions attached to it. Its either there is lockdown or no lockdown.The Government is unable to feed the people & conduct enough #COVID19 test & has taken a dangerous gamble.”
