How Davido is making Skiibii disregard the words of Jesus Christ

Singer Skiibii has shown no regard for the words of Jesus Christ due to his support for the way Davido broadcasts the help he renders to people.

Davido has been trying to position himself as a singer in the music industry who renders help to his colleagues and others outside the industry.

His actions have been good but how he goes about them have been against the clear teachings of Jesus Christ.

Every good did done by the singer finds its way to social media which he pushes mostly by himself. If he serves his security guard food, social media gets to know about it. If he helps a colleague, social media doesn’t sleep till it hears about it.

What will Jesus says about such? Let’s read below.

Mathew 6:1-4 KJV.

[1] Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
[2] Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
[3] But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
[4] That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

According to Jesus Christ, when Davido makes his good deeds known to the public, he immediately gets his reward which are praises. Such doesn’t benefit anyone if carefully scrutinized.

The people who praised you can’t do more than that for you . When things go tough for you, they won’t be there neigther will they remember you for your good deeds.

But if you follow the commandment of Jesus which is to ensure the public doesn’t see when you during your good deeds, God who saw you in secret will reward you openly.

Which is preferable? Praises from unstable men or reward from God?

The sermon from Jesus won’t make sense to a person like Skiibii who sees nothing wrong with what Davido does.

Skiibii wrote months after Davido showed off a chain he bought for him on social:

“You say? Davido is doing everything for clout. Yes, we hear u, na clout. At least him they do am, e no easy.

“Make una do una own for clout too na. He better pass people wey no dey do shi shi”.
