Lil Nas X Explains Why He Denied Being a Nicki Minaj Fan
Lil Nas X wants to collaborate with Nicki Minaj, and the Barbz are not having it.
Their beef with the young rapper began last year, at the peak of his Billboard record, when he denied being a huge fan of Nicki Minaj. Folks reminded him that his page literally used to be a Barbz page, but the Old Town Road rapper didn’t budge.
Now, he has tweeted his hunger to collaborate with Nicki, and when folks reminded him of his well-publicised denial, he said: “I didn’t want people to know I was gay tbh,” referencing how difficult it was for him to eventually come out.
Now, he is no longer afraid of being his true self, which is why he really wants to collaborate with Nicki. He also further explained how unkind the hip-hop industry was to men who come as as homosexual.
