Osimhen out with shoulder injury

 

Victor Osimhen suffered a shoulder injury in Nigeria’s stunning 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone on Friday night.

The 21-year-old Napoli striker was stretchered off in the second half after being bundled on the turf by a Leone Stars defender.

Osimhen scored the Super Eagles second goal as the Eagles took a 4-0 lead inside the opening half-hour only to draw 4-4 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

And reports from the medics say the former youth striker dislocated his shoulder – though it is not as bad as previously envisaged.

He is now set to miss the reverse fixture next week Tuesday at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown.
