‘Victor Is Doing Everything To Recover’ – Napoli Coach Gattuso Speaks on Victor Osimhen’s Fitness

 

Napoli head coach, Gennaro Gattuso has stated that Victor Osimhen is making all efforts to require from the shoulder injury and COVID-19.

The Nigerian professional footballer signed €70 million deal with the Serie A side including bonuses which might amount to €100 million over the duration of his five years contract.

So far Victor has made only four appearances off the bench, two in the Serie A and another two in the Coppa Italia. He is yet to start a game for the Blues in 2021.

 Gattuso has now stated that he misses Osimhen because of the indepth and more solutions he provides for the club that he can’t wait for him to get fit.

Gattuso told Sky Sport Italia;

“Victor is doing everything to recover. He stopped for three months, it is normal that it is not at its best,”

“We saw a bit of light in the Italian Cup, today we gave him more time. We know the characteristics he has, he and Petagna are different players.

“But even with Petagna we have developed well today. Osimhen gives us more depth and more solutions”.
