An Aiye Cult Leader Has Been Arrested Following The Death Of A Rival Cult Leader- Details
Cultism is also a part of Nigeria' s problem today as it is spreading round the country. This set of individuals are known to carry out all sorts of criminal activities as they feel different after their initiation, why because the cult the join gives them a different orientation and changes their way of living.
The state police command on Saturday, April 3rd, announced the arrest of a young man following the death of the leader of a rival cult group. It was gathered the man who is 24- year- old was said to be the head of a cult group called Aiye Confraternity, and was arrested after shooting another head of a rival cult group known as Eiye Confraternity,
The suspect who was described as a notorious Aiye cult group leader and name was given as Segun Ezekiel, was said to have murdered one Taiye Gbalagbala, who was also a leader of the Eiye cult group, as both cult group were battling for supremacy in Bariga, Lagos State.
According to reports, the suspect was said to have been terrorising the Bariga area for some time, and has carried out the killing of the rival cult leader in company of 3 other members of Aiye Confraternity before his apprehension.
Ezekiel, however, confessed to the crime that he carried out the killing of Taye Gbalagbala, aged 30, after firing gun shots at the victim. The police operatives attached to Bariga Division of the Lagos State Police Command, set a manhunt for the suspect after the were notified about the incident and arrested the suspect.
However, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, The Commissioner of Police, has commanded that Ezekiel be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation as the investigation will lead to the arrest of other culprits that are also involved in the crime.
