Oyo State Government Donates Cash to Voluntary Youth Organizations

 

In a bid to advance youth inclusion in governance and encourage community participation, Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s administration, today, 28th April 2021 distributed cash to voluntary youth organizations in the state.

The commissioner of Youth and Sports Development in the state; Asiwaju Seun Fakorede on his official Twitter handle; @TheSeunFakorede revealed that he disbursed the cash donations on behalf of the Governor at the Western Hall Parliament building secretariat in Ibadan in an empowerment programme tagged: “2021 annual grant to registered voluntary youth organizations”

Asiwaju Fakorede revealed that the Oyo State government is aware of the giant strides being championed by voluntary youth organizations in the state and it is for this reason that the present administration is actively preparing youths for leadership roles.

“I congratulated the recipients of the Grant and pray that they will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Present at the disbursing program were the chairperson of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, Mrs. Bobola Agbeja and Mrs. A.O Adegbola, the Executive Secretary of the Agency for Youth Development.

In her remarks, Lady Comrade Bobola pledged that both organizations will continue to support the Oyo State government in all areas. She also expressed her appreciation for the current administration for nurturing the development of youth organizations in the state.
