Princess Vitarah, Nigerian-American singer makes u-turn, becomes gospel artiste
Nigerian-born American recording artiste, Princess Vitarah who is renowned for her lewd lyrics has made a sudden u-turn in her music career.
The songstress stated that she is prepared to follow Christ and leave behind secular music.
Further, she noted there is no need to sexualize herself in a bid to be appreciated and celebrated.
Equally important, Princess Vitarah’s decision comes after top Nigerian singer, Chidinma Ekile announced her switch from secular to gospel music. Also, Kokomaster, D’Banj recently declared that he is now a born again.
The 23-year-old rapper tweeted;
”I deleted all my old music and I am rebranding myself. I don’t have to hypersexualize myself in order to be successful.”
Meanwhile, she has also released a video for one of her new songs; which advises ladies to shun nudity and loose lifestyles.
Princess Vitarah began her career by releasing music via the internet in early 2016.
She earned public recognition after her song “Nigerian Pssy” went viral on video-sharing sites like YouTube and Facebook; receiving 4 million views in the first day alone.
She has been featured in many prominent publications including Vice; The Fader, and XXL.
Princess Vitarah was born in the United States but raised in Nigeria. In the summer of 2015; she moved back to the United States to pursue a career in music. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
The young songstress has released numerous controversial songs that are primarily are themed around love, lust, and sex.
She has released ten singles (including two as a featured artist) and nine music videos.
Specifically, she began her career by releasing music through the Internet in early 2016.
