Nigerian Police Force Might Reabsorb Abba Kyari – Adegboruwa
Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has stated that he will not be surprised if Abba Kyari, the beleaguered police officer, gets reabsorbed into the Nigerian Police Force.
On Wednesday, February 16, the senior lawyer stated on a Channels Television program that he feels Nigerian police authorities are handling Abba Kyari’s case lightly.
Despite a new charge linking the officer to an international narcotics cartel, Adegboruwa believes the US’ handling of Kyari’s extradition request indicates that the issue may be concealed.
He said;
“For the event that that happened on Monday through the NDLEA, I am just sure that one day we will just wake up and see that Mr Kyari would have been reabsorbed into the Nigerian Police Force.
“With all due respect, I think that was what Mr. IGP was working towards because if you look at the events, it would seem that the super cop was in the good books of those in power.”
