UPDATE: Olubadan’s younger brother, Sen Balogun joins APC

 

Following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Kola Balogun, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was gathered that the lawmaker sealed a deal on Wednesday to join the opposition All Progressives Congress and pick its senatorial ticket for the forthcoming election.

It would be recalled that Senator Balogun, who is the younger brother of Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Lekan Balogun, had on Monday resigned from the PDP after Governor Seyi Makinde gave the Oyo South senatorial ticket to Mogaji Joseph Tegbe, who recently defected from the APC.

On Saturday, Hon. Muraina Ajibola, who is serving his third term in the House of Representatives, had also defected to the APC from PDP.

With the development, APC now has all three senators and 11 of 14 House of Representatives members in Oyo State.
