UCL: PSG star, Mbappe equals Cavani’s goals record

 

Kylian Mbappe, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain, has surpassed Edinson Cavani as the team’s all-time leading scorer in European competition.

Mbappe accomplished the feat after scoring in PSG’s 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The France World Cup winner, who has scored 30 goals in 46 UEFA Champions League matches since joining PSG in 2017, is now level with his former team-mate Cavani, who scored 30 times in 54 games in the competition between 2013 and 2020.

Meanwhile, Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi also scored against Maccabi Haifa in Israel, making it into the top three and top ten, respectively.
