Fans In Tears As Popular Pop Star Singer Is Found Dead Inside His House
A popular singer has been found stone dead inside his flat, leaving many fans greatly saddened and devastated around the world.
Kim Jong-hyun, a popular pop star has been found dead in his apartment in what local reports are describing as a suicide.
According to a report by Daily Sar UK, the top Korean pop star who was part of K-Pop band SHINee, was found dead on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old, more commonly known as Jonghyun, was thought to have taken his own life after local media reported the singer had texted his sister shortly before his body was found.
The star was thought to have texted saying: “It’s been too hard. Please send me off. Tell everyone I’ve had a hard time. This is my last goodbye.”
The text then caused his sister to alert Gangnam Police that Kim Jong-hyun’s life may be in danger.
Gangnam Police has since issued the following statement: “On December 18, 2017 at 4:42PM, Jonghyun’s older sister reported to Police that her brother was about to commit suicide.
“We went to his residence in Chungdam and discovered that he had attempted to commit suicide.
“Emergency responders were with us at the time so we rushed him to the Konkuk University Hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.”
Beloved star Jonghyun shot to fame as part of pop band SHINee, which was manufactured by SM entertainment in 2008.
He cemented his credentials as a a pop superstar by writing many of the band’s hits, including Up and Down and Shout.
He had also made headlines for being an outspoken member of the five-piece boyband, often speaking out in supoort of LGBT rights.
After achieveing success as poart of SHINee, Jonghyun launched a successful solo career in 2015.
As well as achieving huge success in their home nation in South Korea, band SHINee was massively popular across the globe.
The group have recorded six albums on top of five Japanese-language albums, and sold out the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome.
After forming in 2008, the band have also starred in their own documentary-style film known as I AM in 2012.
The band also enjoyed success in the UK, with Odeon reporting their website crashed after one minute after tickets became available for their appearance at the Korean Film Festival in London in 2011.
They had also just completed the North American leg of their tour.
