Missing General Alkali: Suspected killer of Army General surrenders to police
The Plateau State Police Command has said that Da Yakubu Rap, one of the persons declared wanted for their alleged involvement in the killing of the Major General IM Alkali, (retired) has surrendered himself to the command.
DAILY POST reported yesterday that State Police Command declared wanted some suspects behind the disappearance of the former Chief of Administration, Nigerian Army.
DAILY POST also reported on Friday that the Nigerian Army has discovered a shallow grave, in its search for the immediate past Chief of Administration (Army).
The army said Major General Alkali was killed and buried in a shallow grave, in an area popularly known as “No man’s land” in Lafande community, on the outskirt of Jos metropolis.
But the Police in a terse statement sent to DAILY POST by Matthias Tyopev Terna, the Plateau commands’ spokesman, said that one of the persons has turned himself in to the police.
The police said the decision to publish the names over the mysterious disappearance of General Alkali has started yielding results.
The Command said, “One of the persons declared wanted, Da Yakubu Rap the District Head reported to the Plateau State Police Command headquarters Jos this morning and he is undergoing interrogation..”
