PDP, Jonathan, Ortom Congratulate Atiku At 72

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday wished its Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abuakar God’s guidance and blessings as he prepare to pilot the affairs of Nigeria.

The party in a Twitter handle said;

''Hurray! The @OfficialPDPNig Presidential Candidate and former Vice President of Nigeria, H. E. Alhaji Atiku Abuakar, GCON, is 72 today. Happy Birthday Your Excellency @Atiku. We wish you more of Allah’s guidance and blessings as you prepare to pilot the affairs of our country''

So also, Ex-President Dr Goodluck Jonathan and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, have congratulated the former Vice-President.

In a goodwill message, Jonathan noted that Atiku had made significant contributions to the growth and development “of our nation.”

A statement by Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, the former President’s media adviser, said that Jonathan also prayed for God’s blessings to enable Atiku do more for the progress of the nation.

Jonathan said, “You have every cause to be thankful to God for long life and a fulfilling experience.

“You are a man of great courage, wisdom and dedication; all of which you have deployed in service to the nation and humanity.”

Ortom, in his message, described Atiku as a charismatic, humble and experienced leader who was committed to a greater Nigeria.

The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said, “The emergence of Atiku Abubakar as Presidential candidate of the PDP and the nationwide enthusiasm Nigerians have shown in his candidacy the fact that the former Vice-President is indeed, the preferred choice of the people in 2019.”
