Funmi Iyanda Celebrates Latest Guardian Life Magazine Cover

The legendary Funmi Iyanda is the latest cover star of the prestigious Guardian Life magazine, which is appropriately themed “The Legend of a Woman.”

The CEO of OYA Media sat down with the editors in a chat in which she talked about the ideals–from feminism and motherhood and the fight to bring an end to the misogynistic and patriarchal system.
She said:

We say we like powerful women but we don’t because we’ve been conditioned to accept that power is a masculine thing and that there’s limited power scope for women. One of the ills of patriarchy is that women have been forced for centuries to negotiate power and personhood by stealth and manipulation so a woman in full unapologetic feminine power often reads like a threat to both men and women.

And celebrating this on her Instagram she said, “Loved working with the talented young team @guardianlifeng”
