Nigeria Beats Libya 4-0 To Qualify For The U-23 Africa Cup Of Nations

Nigeria’s U-23 Football team on Monday defeated their Libyan counterparts 4-0 in their second leg tie of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

The match played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba, the capital of Delta State saw the Nigerian team squander a few scoring chances early in the match before Victor Osimhen opened scoring for Nigeria from a rebound in the 35 minute of the match.

Osimhen got his brace in the 63 minute of the match when he capitalised on the faulty clearance by the Libyan goalkeeper to tap the ball into the net.

Osimhen's hat-trick came in the 74 minute of the match to put the match beyond the Libyans before substitute Chidozie Okereke sealed the game in the 90th minute of the match for the Nigerian team.

With this victory, the Nigeria team won on a 4-2 aggregate, having lost the first leg away in Tunisia 0-2.
