Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis Hits Bauchi State
Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis is now in Bauchi State. The Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency has confirmed that four suspected cases of Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis have recently been recorded in the state.
The Executive Chairman, BSPHCDA, Adamu Gamawa, said this while addressing newsmen in Bauchi on Thursday.
According to him, one of the suspected cases was confirmed to be streptococcus pneumonia.
Gamawa added that one other case was under investigation as samples had been taken for analysis to confirm whether it was meningitis or another disease.
However a 34-year-old man called Mustapha Adamu, a resident of Nassarawa Jahun in Bauchi metropolis i ssaid to have died in a suspected case of meningitis four days ago.
