Rivers APC: Malami Speaks On Reversing Supreme Court’s Resolution

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has denied alleged plot to reverse the Supreme Court judgment on Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC was barred from fielding candidates for the 2019 elections in Rivers.

But, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which gained a lot of the elective positions, alleged on Sunday that there was a plot to reverse the court docket judgment.

PDP fingered Malami because the one, who would mount stress on the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed, to impact the reversal.

However, dismissing the allegation on Wednesday in Abuja, Malami mentioned the PDP exercised its energy of freedom of speech in extra.

Speaking with State House correspondents, he mentioned: “Regarding what was levelled towards me by PDP, I believe it stays an accusation.

“It has to stay so till confirmed via a judicial course of.

“But, for me, I think it is freedom of speech that has been taken too far.”
