League Invitational final LIVE RESULT: Jota beats Alexander-Arnold after 70 minutes of golden goal

Diogo Jota was victorious over Trent Alexander-Arnold with an epic golden goal victory.

Liverpool full back, and underdog, Alexander-Arnold took a shock lead on the stroke of half time. 

Georginio Wijnaldum met a floated delivery towards the far post and nodded beyond Rui Patricio, with both real-life players having previously been prevented from opening the scoring after a string of stellar saves from both goalkeepers. 

Liverpool and Wolves could not be separated after 90 minutes with the game ending 1-1, but it was Jota who emerged victorious after 70 minutes of extra time.

The wolves forward on Saturday afternoon beats Burnley midfielder 4 - 1 to reach the final.
