FG Lifts Ban on Interstate Travels, Opens Schools for Graduating Students
President Muhammadu Buhari, on the recommendation of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, has approved the re-opening of schools only for students in graduating classes (Primary 6, JS3 and SS3) to enable them prepare for their examinations.
According to the PTF, all daycare and primary schools are to remain closed while arrangements are to be made for exiting JS3 and SS3 students to resume preparation for their exams as soon as possible.
The PTF also announced the lifting of ban on interstate travels with effect from July 1st, 2020 and outside the curfew hours only while the safe re-opening of domestic aviation services as soon as practicable was also approved.
The Phase 2 of the eased lockdown will be extended for another four (4) weeks, from June 30, 2020 to July 27, 2020.
