Pearl Thusi Speaks About Femicide in South Africa, Says “Men Need to Heal”
South African celebrities have taken to their social media to speak about the scourge of femicide in the country, and adding her voice to the conversation, Pearl Thusi said they have so many violent men who need to heal.
She has been vocal about the recent killings of women in SA, and has advised that the first step for their men to be better people in society is to recognise that they have a problem, and then to seek healing.

The first step to healing and being a better person is recognising that you have a problem.
And this comment comes after she had asked what men were doing to end the increasing rate of femicide.

So much anger and violence.
What are the men we know doing to end this scourge of darkness?
Only days ago, too, the Queen Sono actress called on young people to take a stand against femicide and abuse of women and children.
In her Instagram post which honoured the youth involved in the June 16 1976 Soweto student uprising, Pearl captioned her post saying, “The more things change, the more they stay the same. The powers that be may have changed, but the struggle continues.
“Women are killed. Police are still specifically violent with black people. Are we a generation willing to die for justice? Or are we willing to watch our fellow citizens, especially women and children, be abused and murdered by our very own?”
