Big Brother Naija: Reno Omokri Blasts Nigerian Youth Over Eviction

 

The former presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has attacked Nigerian youths for the time they spend watching and talking about BBNaija.

According to Omokri, poverty will reduce in Nigeria if the youth venture into rice production business than to pay attention to those evicted in the BBNaija reality show.

He shared his concern on a tweet on Sunday after the eviction of housemates of BBNaija.

“The price of rice has increased by 60% since July when #BBNaija started. Many youths have made millions buying rice from Kebbi and Jigawa and selling it in Lagos and Port Harcourt. But, all you can boast of at that time is being up to date on BBN!

“You are so focused on who gets evicted from the #BBNaija house. If only you were as focused on getting poverty evicted from your life.

“For 2 months, you suspended your life to focus on BBN. Others used that time to suspend poverty from their life,” he posted.

Omokri is not the only person to have shared his concern about the time people spend on the reality show. Other top personalities including the entertainment industry expressed worries about how people in Nigeria spend time watching the reality TV show, BBNaija.
