Regina Daniels Set To Become First Lady of Nigeria As Igbo Group Calls On Ned Nwoko To Run For 2023 Presidency
Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, could be the next first lady of Nigeria should her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko accepts the call from an Igbo group who want him to stand for president in 2023 elections.
Within Nigerian reported that the National President of Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities in Nigeria (CENN), Prince Miaphen rallied support for Ned Nwoko, a former member of House of Representatives, to contest in 2023 Presidency.
Some Igbos are of the view that it is high time Igbos steer the affairs of the country as the former Abia state Governor and current senate chief whip, Orji Kalu have joined the league of Igbo politicians spearheading moves to lead the country after declaring that he would serve as Nigeria’s President.
Prince Miaphen explained that he thinks Ned Nwoko will be a perfect fit for the presidential seat as he described him as a lawyer of repute, an altruistic humanitarian and a politician with exceptional finesse.
According to him, a series of scrutiny was done by his group on astute patriots in the South-East and South-South and they decided to settle for Prince Ned Nwoko.
Prince Miaphen said;
‘He is highly industrious, visionary and very generous.A man of many parts who is well known for his patriotic and philanthropic instincts and a notable Pan- Africanist who is unpretentious about his love for his country and continent.
‘He was a member of the Federal House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 representing Aniocha North-South and Oshimili North- South. In 2017 and 2019, Prince Ned Nwoko boldly succeeded in securing the Paris club refund for his country, Nigeria.
‘The refund was a relief hugely beneficial to the three tiers of government particularly for the payment of workers, salaries, provision of welfare and some critical social infrastructure.’
‘For all his selfless efforts for a healthier and economically stronger Nigeria and Africa, it will not be out of place to vest our unflinching support on Prince Ned Nwoko for the Presidency of Nigeria come 2023.’
If Ned Nwoko annexes the presidential seat, it means his 20-year-old wife, Regina Daniels, will be the youngest first lady, however, Ned Nwoko's chances of winning is very slim because his party, PDP, is in opposition but he will pose a great threat to other aspirants in the party because of his enormous wealth.
