Grammy Nominations To Be Announced Soon; Burna Boy Tipped To Get Nominated

 

Nigerian stars like Burna Boy, Fireboy, Skales, Adekunle Gold, and more awesome musicians are hoping to get the nomination for the most coveted award, Grammy 2020.

On 24th November of this year, the Recording Academy is expected to announce those musicians that were nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards. This edition of the Grammy Awards is going to be the 61st ceremony that aims at celebrating musicians from all genres and all forms.

At the last edition of the Grammys, a total of 11 Nigerians were nominated for the Grammy. Out of them, Burna Boy’s African Giant was the biggest headliner as he got the Best World Music Album Category.

Even though, the album lost to Angelique Kidjo’s Celia Burna Boy is hopeful of a nod this year. He is not the only one. Adekunle Gold’s About 30 was also in strong contention for a nomination some years ago.

We should expect close competition especially since there have been major changes to the  ‘Best World Music’ album category. Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ is widely believed to be Nigeria’s biggest hope at the 2021 Grammy Awards. But, it remains a hope, Let us see what happens.
