Insecurity: Imo Acting Chief Judge Relocates High Court To Owerri
The Etiti High Court sitting in Ihite-Uboma council area has been relocated to Owerri High Court premises by the acting Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Ijeoma Oguguo over insecurity.
This was contained in a memo signed on behalf of the acting Chief Judge by the Chief Registrar, C.N Okereke.
This is coming days after some angry youths from Ihite-Uboma attacked the Etiti High Court and set it ablaze while protesting the alleged killing of two siblings by police officers.
Oguguo stated that the decision was taken to ensure safety of judicial workers and is temporal
In other news, MuchTalksBlog reported that armed men Suspected to be hoodlums have reportedly attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters, Isiala, Mbano in Imo state on Saturday, March 20 at about 6:30pm.
A police officer who sustained degrees of injuries during the attack lost his life while receiving medical treatment.
MuchTalksBlog learnt that the hoodlums invaded the station in large numbers and started shooting sporadically into the air to cause tension and scare people away.
