Olamide to release album, UY Scuti in June

 

Nigerian rap icon, Olamide has announced the release date for his 9th official studio album, UY Scuti.

Olamide made the announcement on his various social media platforms.

The rapper revealed that his 9th album will be released on June 14th, 2021.

A couple of months ago, Olamide announced on his social media platform that his 9th studio album is ready.

He stated that he just completed his 11th album on Tuesday, March 16.

On his birthday, a fan asked Olamide for a new single, but the rap artiste replied that “Worry not… I just completed my album yesterday. I’m ready for you guys, just pick date.”

The album would be Olamide‘s 11th overall body of work and his follow-up to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Carpe Diem.

Since the demise of Da Grin in 2010, Olamide has paved the way for indigenous rappers in the industry. Since the release of ‘Eni Duro’, Baddo has not looked back.

He established his own record label; Yahoo Boy No Laptop; YBNL in 2011 and it has also served as the home to numerous artists. They include- Adekunle Gold; Lil Kesh; Chinko Ekun; as well as currently Fireboy DML.

Further, he is a recipient of over 30 awards both local as well as international. Olamide is an icon.

999 will be Olamide’s 10th studio album in 10 years. That’s a peerless run for a mainstream artist; and, likewise, his consistency in the industry.
