2 years in Office: Oyo Rep Member, Rep. Olajide Odidi-Omo Lists Accomplished Projects
Ahead of the celebration of his two years in office, the Honourable representing Ibadan North West/South West in the Federal constituency, Rep Adedeji Stanley Olajide Odidi-Omo has listed some projects embarked upon since his appointment adding he is committed to ensuring a better life for people in his constituency.
While speaking with newsmen, Rep. Olajide Odidi-Omo who was awarded the most performed Rep. by the Oyo state chapter of the Inter-party advisory council in 2020, said he embarked on projects in his constituency that will touch all aspect of human activities and targeted socio-economic and positive growth of his constituents.
Odidi-Omo further noted that after thorough research, he was able to identify the various area of urgent needs and wants of his constituents and education was one of the top contenders among urgent needs in his constituency.
He said, “Having identified education as the major key to socio-economic growth and development, as part of my constituency projects I have facilitated and rehabilitated blocks of classrooms with offices well equipped with writing materials and modern furniture in some public primary and secondary schools within my constituency”
The following are some of the education projects embarked upon by Rep. Olajide are:
1. Construction of Model school with 10-Classrooms, staff room, offices, sickbay, computer room, laboratory, library & hall with borehole fully furnished at Oluyole Muslim Grammar (Jnr) School, Odinjo.
2. Construction of a block of ECD Pilot Centre at Oluyole – OLGC Primary School, Olurinde
3. Construction of 3-Classrooms with toilet facilities at Methodist Pry. School, Adeyipo Olomiyeye
4. Construction of 3-Classrooms with toilet facilities at Immanuel Grammar (Jnr) School, Orita-UI
5. Construction of 3-Classrooms with toilet facilities at Community Secondary (Jnr) School, Olopomewa
6. Sinking of Borehole at OLGC School, Obebe
7. Renovation of one (1) block of 6-Classrooms & 1-off (Blk A) at Community High (Jnr) School, Olosunde.
Odidi-Omo further stated that having come to realise the importance of technology in the 21st century and how necessary it has become for schools to have the necessary equipment to impart knowledge, he decided to equip some schools in his constituency with ICT facilities.
Rep. Olajide facilitated and delivered well-equipped information technology centres in two secondary schools within the constituency namely Eleyele grammar school Eleyele, Ibadan and Baptist Secondary School Liberty Road, Ibadan.
Some of the primary schools that got the full package of the facilities are Ratibi Muslim School Molete, UMC Demonstration Basic School Oke-Ado and St’Patrick School Idi’kan, Anwar-UI-Islam Primary School, Eleyele Community Primary School 1, Olopomewa, Salvation Army Primary School 1, Ekotedo all in Ibadan.
Some other projects embarked upon by the Honourable include installation of solar streetlights, digging of boreholes, installation of transformers and various empowerment programs in his constituency.
Meanwhile, Rep. Adedeji Stanley Olajide Odidi-Omo reiterated his commitment to making life better for people in his constituency adding that he will continue to deliver the dividend of democracy to his people by touching all aspect of human endeavours as long as it enhances the growth and comfort of the people as he believes his representation is a call to service.
