Till date, neither Don Jazzy nor D’Banj have given a profound reason for their musical breakup, however, both Afrobeats legends have created a remarkable legacy for their respective selves.

Jazzy later announced the recruitment of veteran songstress, Tiwa Savage who worked with notable American celebrities prior to her exposure to Nigerian audience at the time.
The original Mavins line up
A couple of years ago, Don Jazzy recounted how he almost gave up on the record label due to several personal reasons.
In his words:
“Everyone has their goal. I almost gave up on mine in the early days of MAVIN. As you can see in this throwback pic. I looked fed up lol ? .
But the man had to keep pushing. May you reap the rewards of all your hard work last o ?? #JustLikeBurna”
“The goal is ahead of you and not behind you, you must continue to defy all obstacles to meet the goal.
We are bound to succeed if we continue to try and try and never give up.”
