35-Year-Old Man Shot Dead As Cultists Clash In Osun

 

A 35-year-old man was shot dead by a rival cult group on Friday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

It was gathered that the deceased, Babalola Lekan was shot by unidentified cultists about 2:30 pm at Asoje area of Osogbo, during a supremacy gun battle.

The Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident in a signal.

“The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital mortuary, Osogbo. Meanwhile, the police are on the trail of the cultists,” Opalola stated.

Recall that sometime in March, a cult violence erupted in Osogbo which claimed several lives.
