Insecurity: Former Edo deputy governor, Dr. Odubu holds night vigil for Buhari

 

Following the security challenges in Nigeria and economic hardship, a special night vigil and prayer session was observed for the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari, for God’s guidance, Wisdom, and Sound mind to run the affairs of Nigeria, as well as good health and Wellness for the President by the former deputy governor of Edo State, Dr, Pius Odubu

The all-night prayer session which was held in Odubu`s residence in Benin City started with the Nigerian nation as the first Prayer point with Pastor Mrs. Angela Okpamen who led the Prayers session, praying for Peace and Unity in Nigeria.

While praying for the prosperity of the nation, for Religious tolerance amongst the various religious groups in Nigeria, she also prayed for Peace and Harmony between the various ethnic nationalities and tribes in Nigeria

Delivering the Sermon for the Night, “COVENANT HELP”, Pastor Godwin Eleduwa said Covenant help is the help that a child of God receives when God notices him/her as desirous of Divine blessings.

He explained the reason for Covenant help for the children of God, stating that, Divine help comes into play in the life of the child of God when he/she enjoys God’s Covenant Help.

Taking his references from the book of Psalm 131:1 and Zachariah 3:3 he revealed how God favoured His own child through Divine help.

According to him, Covenant Help instigates the Divine help which was seen in the lives of some Bible Personalities like; Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Joshua, Jephthah, and the Israelites through Mordecai and Esther who God caused King Aserus to favor. He said the Israelites recovered all they previously lost through the Covenant Help of God.

Pastor Eleduwa then led all the Ministers to make Prophetic declarations on Dr. Pius Odubu, that his heart desires and his expectations will not be cut short, even if it is delayed, but will surely come to fruition.

Deaconess Mrs. Endurance Odubu in a short remark prayed for God’s abundant blessings and mercies for the Odubu and Okungbowa families, Edo State and Nigeria.

Dr. Pius Odubu who prayed for God’s forgiveness joined all present to dance to victorious songs by the Revelation Gospel Praise Band to close the Prayer Vigil, then the Lord’s Prayer and the Grace creed were prayed to close the All Night prayer Vigil.

The Vigil was a Prayer event organized by Dr. Odubu had in attendance his wife Deaconess (Mrs.) Endurance Odubu, members of the Odubu family, friends of the Odubu family, and some members of the Odubu Support Group.

The Vigil started at about 9.00 pm and ended at 4.30 am in the morning.

Some Ministers of the Gospel led by Pastor (Hon.) Godwin Eleduwa of the Confessing Christ Church of God for all Nation, and a former Vice Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Pastor (Hon.) Mrs. Angela Okpamen, a former Councilor, and her Husband Pastor Hon. Harrison Okpamen, also a former Councilor, Pastor Willie Matsetoritse from Delta State and the Revelation Gospel Praise Band led by a renowned Gospel Artiste Osas Cliff aka WAGHOBA were all on the ground to make the night a glorious one.
