Salah wins double with Budweiser Goal of the Month
Mohamed Salah has completed a Premier League awards double for October by winning the Budweiser Goal of the Month.
Salah, who has also been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for October, takes the Goal award for his superb solo effort for Liverpool against Manchester City.
He showed sublime skill and strength to weave through a crowd of three Man City players, twisted and turned past a fourth in Aymeric Laporte and drilled a a shot past Ederson from a tight angle in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield.
The goal one of his two Budweiser Goal of the Month nominees for October, repeating the trick with another dazzling solo run and finish at Watford.
It is the second time that the Egyptian has claimed the award, first winning it in January 2021 after his brilliant counter-attacking goal at West Ham United.
He is also the first winner of the Player and Goal award in the same month since Jesse Lingard did so with West Ham in April 2021.
Salah's Man City goal was chosen by a panel of experts combined with a public vote, beating his strike at Vicarage Road and six other contenders.
Eight sensational strikes in October 2021 have been shortlisted for the Budweiser Goal of the Month award.
The winner was chosen by the supporters' votes combined with the choices from a panel of experts.
