Buhari leaves for Addis Ababa to attend AU meeting Thursday

 

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), will go to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital, for the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Heads of State and Government on Thursday.

Femi Adesina, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement released on Wednesday headed "President Buhari to Attend AU Meeting in Addis Ababa."

"President Buhari will join other African leaders in finding solutions to the continent's political, economic, and social challenges, guided by the theme, 'Building Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent: Strengthen Agriculture, Accelerate Human Capital, Social, and Economic Development," according to Adesina.

Ahmed Abubakar, the President's National Security Adviser and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, will also attend the AU sessions with him.
