Just In: Twitter Honours Cr7, Wizkid and others

MuchTalksBlog reports that Microblogging platform Twitter has honoured some Nigerian celebrities with customised goat emoji.

The celebrities are Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, Ex-Bbnaija winner Laycon and Ex-Bbnaija housemate Maria.

The goat symbol appears when these celebrities are trending on Twitter or when their names are searched with an hashtah symbol.

G.O.A.T is an acronym for “Greatest Of All Time,” which is commonly used in sports when referring to players who are widely considered the most talented.

Twitter also honoured other global celebrities like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo the emoji.

But the development has generated controversies as Wizkid fans accused Davido of paying Twitter to get the emoji, owing to the fact that wizkid was the first Nigerian celebrity to be so honoured.

Some other fans said Twitter was biased to have limited the honour to just a few celebrities.
