Update! Moses Oko, Killer of 300 Level Unijos Student Pretends To Be Dumb In Court

 

Moses Oko, the suspect accused of killing his girlfriend, Jennifer Anthony, a University of Jos 300-level student, went dumb when he was escorted into the witness box to begin his formal arraignment earlier today according to Daily Trust.

According to reports, the suspect was led in while his lawyer was already in the courtroom.

The suspect’s parents eventually joined him in court afterwards, chatting with one another while other cases were still going on.

The drama began, however, when the suspect’s case file was called and he was instructed to enter the witness box to swear an oath.

Moses Oko refused to walk by himself, pretending that he didn’t comprehend what was going on. The jail officer who brought him to court, however, assisted him to the witness box.

When the court clerk called his name to see if he understood English or Hausa so that he would know how to administer the oath for him, Moses Oko did not react and instead kept staring at the court without saying anything.

Everyone in the courtroom was perplexed when he did not answer to the court clerk’s repeated calls.

Barr. Alex Muleng, the defendant’s lawyer, then made the claim that his client’s sanity is in jeopardy.

“It appears that the weight of charges leveled against him is too much for him to handle, and as a result, he has acquired mental imbalances,” Muleng added.
