Henrikh Mkhitaryan: ‘People don’t like Zlatan Ibrahimovic’

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s last involvement for Man United was on November 25.

The Armenian international captain came off the bench in a 1-0 win over Brighton at Old Trafford.
The last time Mkhitaryan started a game for Man United in the Premier League was on November 5, in the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea.

Many are now wondering what’s in line for Mkhitaryan at United this season.

He’s seems to be outside Jose Mourinho’s thinking right now having dropped off following a strong start to the season.
                                                      Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Zlatan Ibrahimovic
This week a new interview with Mkhitaryan was aired on Armenian state radio .

One of the main topics of conversation was Mkhitaryan’s relationship with Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Interestingly, Zlatan seems to be above Mkhitaryan in the Man United pecking order since the Swde returned from seven months out with an ACL injury.

Mkhitaryan has revealed that not everyone gets on with Ibra, but they enjoy a positive relationship.
Moreover, Mkhitaryan joked that Ibra even calls him God these days:

Zlatan has a strong temper. Many people don’t agree with him. People do not understand or do not want to understand his jokes or what he’s talking about.

But I have had good relations with him from the first moment. We kept in touch even when he was recovering out of Manchester.

Everyone knows Ibrahimovic calls himself the God. But when we landed in Rostov I told him: “You see who the real God is.”

I’m joking. There were many Armenians chanting my name. After that he understood there is another God – me!

Mkhitaryan is unlikely to be involved in Sunday’s Manchester derby with City.
Zlatan, however, is set to return to action after missing a couple of matches against Arsenal and CSKA Moscow.
