"Brother Demola, How Far Now" — MuchTalksBlog CEO, Moses Writes To Demola

Following the crisis that erupted at the polling unit in Ago Palace way, Lagos during the presidential election in which a member of Oudua People's Congress (OPC) popularly known as Demola led his other thugs in allegedly snatching and burning many ballot boxes.

This action triggers the anger of the Okota's who is basically dominated by the southern part of Nigerians. They reacted quickly by apprehending him and beats the hell of his life.

Our CEO Moses Chinaza decides to pass a message to him after he was reported to have been saved by an igbo man who took him to hospital where he's being recuperating.

 OGA Demola, Good morning, how family? How work? Se Alafia le wa Sir?  Saturday presidential election is over. So after the rain, the waters gather at a place.  Our people say, when we begin to look for a knife in the morning, then what we secretly ate last night would be exposed.  Egbon. I greet you once more. How far now? 

Egbon,  how did you feel waking up in the next morning in a hospital? Think of it that you never thought that the night of February 23 would be spent in a hospital. Perhaps, you had already planned How to pop champagne in your boss house, the amount of money that would be wired into your account or offered you in a Ghana Must Go bag just for security reasons.  Egbon mi, you may have planned to spend and enjoy the night in one clubhouse like that or in a joint with women surrounding you. But everything turned against you.   

But who sent you? Is that your business? Or were you just hired for that day?  What did you gain snatching and burning ballot papers? My brother, it is still like a play to me. Now that you have paid the price of your evil deed with your blood, will you finally have a rethink? Among those your gang whom you led terrorising polling booths, were the children of your paymasters there? Brother reason am na. 

Wait oo Egbon!!!  Do you know that Nigerians had already mourned you? They believed that you were set ablaze. See how  the Nigerian dailies reported of your death; "the detail of how you were killed was revealed in a video tape, which showed some irate young voters throwing stones and other objects at the victim, who was bleeding unceasingly before his assailants set him ablaze ".Hahaha! Requiem Demola. Rest in peace or rest in pieces. It is not just that you were reported death, your supposed killing was given an ethnic colouration. An online verbal war had already ensued between the yorubas and the igbos, and the conflagration would have sparked into real violence had it not been that a video report showing where you are recuperating in a hospital was released. 

See what you have caused the nation. Get me right dear brother. I don't support jungle justice. However, your actions was diabolical and dehumanizing. How can you steal and burn people's voice and choice, sweat, dignity and future?  Their attack on you could be likened to self-defense. While they were guilty of lynching you, they could easily be exculpated on this ground of self-defense, acting based on the impulse of the moment. 

Brother Demola, please tell us. How did you come back to life? Did you resurrec after dying or were you resuscitated while dying? We were informed that an igbo man rescued you and sent you to hospital and even paid the deposit. How true is it? The same people you dehumanized, prosecutes and disgraced by burning their votes. How come your political Ogas did not rescue you? What about your fellow thugs? Obviously they left you in that condition. Have they ever visited you in the hospital? Afenifere has disowned you. Even OPC has disowned you. What message does that preaches to you? Nobody is proud of your actions. What you did is immoral and condemnable. Heaven and earth are testifying against you.   

Brother Demola, i read a comment someone made online which says "no matter how strong you are, the anger of the starving youths is far more dangerous". Isn't that a lesson to you?  I never considered it has an honour that you were hired for snatching ballot boxes. They would have given you a political appointment if they really value you. What they contracted you for is only a barbaric job. They don't deem you fit for working in an office, not even being an executive driver. At least, they would have employed you in the security department or drafted you into the force. They never did any of these for you. They don't deem you fit for any of them. You are only good for an enslaving and life risking job.  You have confirmed that you have no human dignity. You have told the whole world that you're a political slave. And you've gone a long way to enslave your fellow poor people. But this time they refused to be enslaved, hence they landed on you. Bro, how far na?   

I don't know how you feel. But I pray you will not be having grudges against those that mobbed you. I repeat it again, I am against jungle justice and extrajudicial killing. However, remember that you offended them. Even though the right thing would have been handing you over to the appropriate authority and not taking law into their hands, remember it's not the case of assuming innocence until proven guilty. It was a kind of self-defense against their integrity. We live in a country where people because of the failure of the government provide for themselves. Government provides no water, and the people dig boreholes. Government failure to provide power, and the people resort to generators. Government failure to provide security, and the people form vigilante, and buy guns to protect themselves. 

Before I conclude  my dear brother, i fall on my knees begging you for a conversion of heart. Like a woman caught in adultery, you are presented before the court of popular opinion. Her offence deserved a capital execution by stoning. But Jesus did not condemn her not only because of a travesty of justice at the background. Only one person does not commit adultery. The other guilty party was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps unjust patriarchal system had shielded him from punishment.  Bro Demola, you are not alone in this act. Your boys had all disappeared. Those that sent you will not be brought to book. The unjust system will protect and absolve them.   

But bro Demola, if eventually you are set free, just know it's not because of the political powers but second chance given to you by Almighty God to Change for good. Sin no more or else something worse will befall you. Let this be the end of your mumu. Use your strength for something good and reasonable.  Bye bro Demola
