Nigerian Comic Star, Mr Ibu, Suffers Stroke

Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, is said to have been hit by a stroke.

The popular actor has reportedly been down for a while and has asked Nigerians to pray for him at this period.

It is understood that the sickness started shortly after the 57-year old actor returned from a trip to Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Actors Guild of Nigeria’s President, Emeka Rollas, however, said that the Enugu State-born actor is fast recovering from the ailment.

Okafor is one of the most easily recognisable faces in Nollywood after his stellar performance in the 2004 classic Mr Ibu.

The award-winning actor has also starred in several hits including Mr Ibu in London, Police recruit and 9 wives.
