Will Smith Reunites With A BLOODY Joe Pantoliano On The Miami Set Of Bad Boys For Life
Nearly 25 years after first working together on Bad Boys, Will Smith and Joe Pantoliano reunited on the Miami set of Bad Boys For Life.
Smith, 50, and Pantoliano, 67, were spotted on the set on Monday afternoon, though Pantoliano's character, Captain Howard, has certainly seen better days.
The actor was seen shirtless with quite a bit of fake blood on his mouth, upper torso and on his khaki pants, while Smith's character, Mike Lowrey, was seen coming to his aid.
Smith was seen wearing black jogging pants with white stripes down the legs and a white shirt with a black collar and black trim around the short sleeves.
His character Mike Lowrey was seen coming to the aid of Captain Howard, even checking his pulse, so it's possible that Howard might be killed off.
Smith was also seen walking away from Pantoliano, who lied motionless on the ground, with fake blood on his hands.
Pantoliano was also seen, with a grey towel wrapped around his arms, embracing Smith on the set after the bloody scene.
Production has been under way since early January on Bad Boys For Life, which brings back Bad Boys and Bad Boys II stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.
They will be joined by a number of franchise newcomers such as Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Happy Anderson and DJ Khaled, making his feature film debut.
Michael Bay directed the first two Bad Boys films, but the filmmaker will cede the directorial reins to Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Black, Gangsta).
Sony Pictures has set a January 17, 2020 release date for Bad Boys For Life, putting it up against Warner Bros.' Just Mercy starring Michael B. Jordan and Universal's The Voyage of Dr. Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr.
The story follows Lowrey and Burnett who team up to take down an Albanian mercenary, whose brother they had previously killed.
The first Bad Boys movie, which served as the feature directorial debut for Michael Bay, earned $65.8 million domestic and $141.7 million worldwide from a $19 million budget.
2003's Bad Boys II earned $138.6 million domestic and $273.3 million worldwide, from a much larger $130 million budget.
There is also a fourth Bad Boys movie in development at Sony, with Smith and Lawrence expected to return.
