Anthony Joshua Reveals The FOUR Words Referee Said Before Waving Andy Ruiz Jr To Victory

Joshua surrendered his WBA, WBO and IBF world titles after hitting the canvas four times at Madison Square Garden.

During the seventh round, the Brit stumbled back to his corner and the referee began counting to 10.

He asked Joshua to walk forward but the 29-year-old remained lent on the ropes.

Griffin then waved off the fight to hand Ruiz Jr one of the biggest boxing upsets off all time.

And Joshua has revealed what the official said during the moment which created history.
“I will never blame the judges,” Joshua said.

“If it’s a close fight and people think he won and they give it to me, I’m not going to blame the judges.

“The referee, he does his job. I should have never have touched the canvas if I didn’t want it to get stopped.

“That’s down to me and how I handle my business.

“He said ‘how you feeling champ?’

“I said good, good, good good. I am good, I’m good. That was it.”

Joshua is hoping to rematch Ruiz Jnr later this year to try and regain his belts.

“I’m down for whatever. The grind doesn’t change,” he added.

“If Andy Ruiz wants it again I’m down.

“I didn’t even ask about a rematch clause because I am so focussed on winning.

“If it is there then I will go again and exercise it.”
