Arsenal move for ex-Man City keeper Joe Hart
Premier League giants Arsenal are said to be considering an emergency swoop for former England international and Manchester City keeper Joe Hart.
According to Express Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could sign Hart after Bernd Leno suffered a serious injury in Saturday’s 2-1 loss against Brighton and Howe Albion.
Leno was stretchered off during the first half of after colliding with Brighton’s Neal Maupay, and the Gunners fear he could be out for some time, leaving just Emiliano Martinez between the sticks.
However, Hart is said to have emerged as an option after Burnley confirmed his exit at the end of the month.
Arsenal could sign the former Birmingham shot stopper on an emergency transfer option once his Clarets deal expires on June 30.
Hart won two Premier League titles during his time at City but was axed by Pep Guardiola in 2016.
The former England no 1 also had spells at Torino and West Ham before signing for Burnley in 2018.
